Making room for Christ

Updated: Aug 3
Revelation 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. (NASB)
Why does Jesus want to come in and dine with the person who opens the door?

A patient of mine gave me a gift today. The book is from Christine Platt “finding freedom from a Life of overwhelm- Less is Liberation” . I must say that it is a timely book gifted to me as I have been working on decluttering not only my house but my own personal life to get better mental clarity. I am grateful for the patience of God because daily I am reminded that my life has been so overwhelming busy that I neglected my alone time with Him.
Today I want to focus on making room for God on my dining table and let him sit for while and just chat with me. I have learned that if I want to be productive and fruitful for the day I need to start my day with Jesus at the coffee table during that early morning hours when all is quiet and it’s just me and Him.
What a wonderful feeling to have with him setting the tone for the day. Today I told God as I was leaving for work…not my will but your will be done today wherever I go.
In Jesus name
🙏
